Deciding where to registry for your baby can be an overwhelming decision. Moms tend to take into account everyone else’s convenience when it comes to helping them. Stumbling upon Babylist in one of my “mom groups” on Facebook has been the best thing that happened to me this pregnancy. In a time where leisurely strolling through stores and scanning items isn’t necessarily the most appealing option, Babylist has made it easy for moms to create the registry of their dreams. Here’s 5 reasons why you need to create your next (or first) baby registry on Babylist.
Hello Baby Box
Baby boxes are one of the most fun parts about registries! The Hello Baby box is available once you (or a gifter) completes a $30 purchase from your Babylist registry. You are only required to pay for shipping. My box contained a ton of coupons, as well as samples from brands like Palmers, Honest Company and Burt’s Bees Baby.
Price Comparisons from Online Retailers
Once you add something to your registry from one store, Babylist provides a price comparison for other retailers. For example if you want register for Philips-Avent products from Walmart, you and your loved ones can see comparable options from Amazon, Target and wherever the same item is sold online. This gives people the opportunity to shop where they feel comfortable. This also takes the guess work out of shopping around.
Ability to Add Items from Anywhere
Once you begin creating your registry on Babylist, you have the option to add items to your registry from anywhere. This is not only limited to major retailers (though you can import those registries as well). You can also add items from boutiques, small shops and online businesses. There is an extension that you can download for your browser, and Babylist also currently has an app. For more information on how to add to your registry, check out Babylist’s FAQ page on building your registry. I currently also have items from H&M and Carters added to my list.
Register for Non-Material Items
Need babysitting? Want to start a meal train? Just need help? Babylist has the option to register for help & favors. From pre-loved baby clothes to a home cooked meal, your friends and family can gift you with help. And more often than not for a new mama, those gifts are invaluable.
Great Completion Discount
About 60 days prior to your due date, Babylist offers what is known as a completion discount. This is a one-time discount for items sold on Babylist.com. So once your baby shower is complete, you can head back to your list and purchase items you may not have received. This discount can be used up to 6 months after baby’s expected due date, so if you need to hold off for a while you have that option also!
*Honorable mentions*

All in all, especially in the days of drive through and virtual baby showers there are very few negatives to creating a registry on Babylist. Babylist offers convenient shopping, takes the hassle out of comparing prices and is extremely user friendly. Plus, the convenience of registering for everything you want from different places cannot be ignored.
