Sunny days! Can you believe Sesame Street is 50 years old this year? I’m amazed (though not surprised) of the longevity of this program. I remember being in love with Sesame Street when I was a kid. When I had RJ Sesame Street used to come on every day at 10:30am, and it was a part of his nap time routine. Now, Zayn enjoys Sesame Street too, mainly via YouTube Kids. It’s so amazing how the show has been able to evolve over time, yet still remain the same show that I loved in the early 90s.
This spring, Sesame Place is looking to kick off their most exciting year yet!
If you live under a rock, Sesame Place is the only amusement park in the U.S. based entirely off of our favorite muppets. This year Sesame Place is looking to kick off their most exciting year ever in honor of Sesame Street’s 50th Anniversary.
Stroll through Abby’s Garden, check out Hooper’s Store, and grab your camera to take pictures on 123 stoop. Sesame Street neighborhood is getting an update to reflect the show’s new set. Interactive features throughout the “neighborhood” are planned to make the experience even more special. You can also bring a letter to drop off in the mailbox for your favorite friends, to help them celebrate 50 years!
Big Bird’s bestie is heading to Sesame Place as their latest meet and greet character! According to their site, Snuffy will be located near Abby’s Paradise Theater with his BFF. You’ll probably want to snap pictures with them throughout the spring and summer! RJ loves Snuffleupagus, so I’m interested to see how he reacts to seeing him in person!
How much is all of this going to cost?
A one day pass to Sesame place for ages 2 and up will cost you about $59.99. But if you want to get more for your money, they offer some amazing season pass options! You also have the option to make monthly payments on your season passes, to help you with the cost! Shoutout to Sesame Place for putting families first!
So what do you think? Will you be headed to Sesame Place this spring? Opening day is set for April 6th and you don’t want to miss Elmo’s Eggstravaganza!
