I was invited to a free art class with a guest hosted by Disney and The Art Studio NY, to celebrate the in-home release of Ralph Breaks the Internet.
Over the weekend I was invited with a group of other bloggers to take a painting class in celebration of Ralph Breaks the Internet being released on Digital and DVD/Blu-ray. When I received the invitation I was excited. I’ve done paint and sips before and it’s a super fun experience. Date night it is!
The Art Studio NY is not your typical paint and sip y’all. It is a LEGIT art studio. They offer all kind of lessons, and not going to lie, I felt a little intimidated once I realized what was about to go down. I arrived and sat down in front of a BLANK CANVAS. *insert all kinds of panic*
Have y’all been to a paint and sip before? It’s basically like a color by number kind of situation. This was not that! Our instructor was amazing though, he explained how to sketch in the most basic breakdown and really showed the simplest way to turn basic shapes, into our characters.
I spent a lot of time in a panic about my sketching, but the instructor was amazing and helped me a little bit…….
Ok fine he sketched my whole drawing, in like 60 seconds or less.
And I had fun painting Vanellope! I ran out of time because… overthinking, but I’m going to get some acrylic paint and fill her in! And I’m going to look back in to going back to the Art Studio NY. I can definitely see painting being a relaxing hobby.

I have never taken an art class unless the sip and paint class counts?!
I used to take art classes when I was younger. My favorite part of Ralph Breaks the Internet is when the Princesses save him at the end.
