The second official trailer dropped for Onward this morning and as a boy mom of two I am in my feelings.
About Onward
Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers (voices of Chris Pratt and Tom Holland) who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. A new trailer and poster are now available, and new character posters were recently revealed, introducing cast members Mel Rodriguez, who voices Officer Colt Bronco; Lena Waithe, who lends her voice to Officer Specter; and Ali Wong, the voice of Officer Gore. Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, “Onward” opens in U.S. theaters on March 6, 2020.
My Reaction to the Onward Official Trailer
So. Much. Magic. Like I said as a mom of two boys I have been in love with the idea of Onward since I first learned about the idea of the movie. Chris Pratt and Tom Holland are exactly the two brothers that I want to see on journey about family. I love that this is a driving theme in the movie as I try to remind my boys to remain best friends, and that family is the greatest love we have.
And then, I teared up at Ian and Barley wanting to get the opportunity to spend just one more day with their dad. My boys LOVE their daddy. They come to me for love and nurturing but daddy is their hero. I am expecting Onward to be packed with emotion, typical Pixar (have you not seen Coco. Bring your tissues. I love that Pixar seems to have a recurring theme about the importance of love and family.
A bold journey awaits. Onward is in theaters every March 6th, 2020.
