The official trailer for Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey was released yesterday and I held my breath before watching. If you watch Pass that Popcorn (or listen via podcast) then you’ll know that Shaye and I discussed the not so warm reception that Jingle Jangle received on Twitter last week when the BEAUTIFUL first look images for this movie were released. And while I knew this movie was going to be magic, I couldn’t anticipate just how much.

Life with Tanay’s Reaction to the Official Trailer
We are big fans of musicals and shows with music. You should also know by now if you’ve been following me for any amount of time how I feel about Christmas. I absolutely love Christmas movies and of course I am going to love this movie especially different. The cast this movie makes me smile. I cannot wait to see Forrest Whitaker and Anika Noni Rose in a Christmas movie. I am expecting true to form laughs from Keegan-Michael Key. This movie feels completely like Christmas magic but in a different way. An amazingly different way.
About Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
A musical adventure and a visual spectacle for the ages, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey is a wholly fresh and spirited family holiday event. Set in the gloriously vibrant town of Cobbleton, the film follows legendary toymaker Jeronicus Jangle (Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker) whose fanciful inventions burst with whimsy and wonder. But when his trusted apprentice (Emmy winner Keegan-Michael Key) steals his most prized creation, it’s up to his equally bright and inventive granddaughter (newcomer Madalen Mills) — and a long-forgotten invention — to heal old wounds and reawaken the magic within. From the imagination of writer-director David E. Talbert and featuring original songs by John Legend, Philip Lawrence, Davy Nathan, and “This Day” performed by Usher and Kiana Ledé, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey reminds us of the strength of family and the power of possibility.
