**Thank you so much Walt Disney World for hosting me and my family at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. All opinions in this review belong to Life with Tanay**
We recently had other opportunity to stay at Disney’s Contemporary resort and I was EXCITED. This was my first time staying at the Contemporary and I knew my boys were going to flip out because they have long been begging to “sleep at this hotel”. Disney’s Contemporary Resort is one of Walt Disney Worlds Deluxe Resort so it comes with a bigger price tag than some. But for good reason. Here are a few reasons you’ll love your stay at this iconic destination.
5 Reasons You Will Love Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Access to the monorail.
The monorail runs RIGHT through the hotel. This was probably the main reason that the boys wanted to stay there. It does take about 30 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom via the monorail. But coming back from MK, The Contemporary is the first stop. We utilized the monorail multiple times, just to make the boys happy.
- Walking distance to Magic Kingdom
If Magic Kingdom is your favorite park, you’ll love The Contemporary. For an adult walking to Magic Kingdom, the pathway is about a 10 minute walk. If you’re walking with multiple little people like we were, it’ll probably talk a little longer.
- The views are amazing.
I don’t think there is a bad view in any part of this resort. We stayed in a lake view room in the main tower and the view was stunning! There are also rooms with incredible views of Magic Kingdom. Once the fireworks return, families will definitely want to consider a room with a park view.
- Chef Mickey’s
Because who doesn’t love character dining? Chef Mickey is a buffet style character dining experience that families LOVE. While the experience has been modified due to COVID, the characters are scheduled to return mid-december. Reservations for Chef Mickey’s are hard to come by so you’ll want to book this experience as far in advance as possible.
- Rooms sizes are perfect for families
Being one of Disney’s Deluxe Resorts, The Contemporary does come with a bigger price tag than most. But it is completely worth it! With some of the largest rooms at WDW, our room was perfect for our family of 4. The boys are ALWAYS active and they had plenty of space to play and enjoy themselves. The price is definitely worth it for the rooms and amenities alone.
The Contemporary is a Must for Families
All in all our stay at The Contemporary was perfect for our trip. If you’re planning to spend a lot of time at Magic Kingdom, have a large family, and want convenient character dining the contemporary is definitely an amazing resort to consider.
