The Christmas Chronicles was one of my absolute favorite new movies when it came to Netflix 2 years ago. Christmas is unarguably the best holiday and I love all Christmas movies. Even RJ (who was only 4 at the time) fell in love with the movie. We continue to watch the first movie on repeat (and of course more once the holidays roll around). So I was HYPE when I realized that Netflix added part 2 to it’s slate of holiday movies being released this year. The official trailer for The Christmas Chronicles 2 was released earlier this week and well.. take a look.

My Thoughts After Watching the Trailer
I’m not 100% sure how I am going to feel about Tyrese being mom’s new boyfriend, I have a super hard time taking him seriously. But I do love that they are adding some diversity to the cast. I do however absolutely love this story line. And I am confident that the boys are going to get a kick out of it. I do think that I am going to have to watch this one without them first. It looks like it could be a tad “darker” than the original, though Belsnickel looks like he is going to be a great Christmas villain. And I am loving that we’re obviously going to get another Kurt Russel movie moment.
