I’m one of those moms. My toddler watches TV. He definitely doesn’t sit and stare at it all day. He loves to make a mess and play with his toys and touch any and everything he shouldn’t be touching…. but TV gives me that extra time (about 30 seconds) to run to the bathroom or throw out the trash.. brush my teeth… short things like that! Lol
Now that he’s a little bit older I’m starting to be more mindful about what he actually watches. Before I would just let him watch any cartoon because he wasn’t paying THAT much attention. But now that I notice a difference in the way he responds to things, I try to be more mindful about what I say/let him hear.
Enter Sesame Street!
Something about kids and puppets. I remember loving this show when I was younger and so many kids I know watch in fascination. Sesame Street keeps him entertained while teaching numbers, ABCs, Colors and soooo much more (hello I love my hair!!! was that not the cutest thing ever????)!
RJ is a music baby. He danced before he could walk so I was super excited to learn that Sesame Street Live was coming to Madison Square Garden in 2016. This will be our first time going but I do know that the performance is super interactive and I can’t wait to see how he reacts to dancing with some of his favorite characters!
AAAAAAAAANNNNNND! Since I love you guys I have a giveaway for you! I’m giving away a family 4 pack of tickets to see the perfomance on 2/11 at 11am in NYC. All the contest details are below. =). Happy entering and we can’t wait to see you there!
Do you remember watching Sesame Street? What are some of your favorite educational shows? Anyone else super excited to see Elmo???? LOL.
