A couple nights ago, the first screening for Captain Marvel took place and the reactions have been awesome! The lucky few took to Twitter (I love it) to share just how amazing the film is. My favorite part of all the reactions? The nod to the 90s. I’ve already talked about how 2019 is going to be such an amazing and nostalgic year for us millennial babies and I’m glad that Captain Marvel is bringing some of that feel to the big screen also. Check out some of my favorite reactions below.
Time management has never been my thing. And then I realized I had to make it my thing. Being a mom of two, having a full time job and trying to make something out of this little blog of mine is WORK. Add that in with trying to binge watch shows on Netflix, have the bare minimum of a social life to not be considered a hermit and have a whole relationship? Chile! If I didn’t make time management a priority before its not even optional now. It HAS to make sense.
The main thing I learned when I was figuring out this time management thing is that you have to prioritize your time. Whether that’s through time blocking, meticulous planning or just being REALLY on top of your ish, you have to find a system that works for you.
Everything really was awesome this weekend. We headed out bright and early Saturday morning to check out The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. RJ watches every single LEGO movie/show he can find. He loves blocks and he always has, so I knew he was going to be hype about going to see this one. So is the LEGO movie a good movie for young children? Check out my review below.
So I’m not gonna lie to you guys, when I was given the opportunity to screen Fighting with my Family, I opened my email with confusion. It has been a LONG time since I watched anything wrestling related and I was not familiar with Paige, nor her rise to fame at all. Still, the trailer intrigued me and I decided to give it a shot, and of course the fact that Dwayne Johnson stars in the film also may have been a persuading factor.
FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY is a heartwarming comedy based on the incredible true story of WWE Superstar Paige™. Born into a tight-knit wrestling family, Paige and her brother Zak are ecstatic when they get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try out for WWE. But when only Paige earns a spot in the competitive training program, she must leave her family and face this new, cut-throat world alone. Paige’s journey pushes her to dig deep, fight for her family, and ultimately prove to the world that what makes her different is the very thing that can make her a star.
When I finished watching the movie I was so glad that I took a chance. Fighting with My Family is so much more than a wrestling movie. You will laugh, you may cry, and you will fall in love with the “Knights”. No spoilers ahead, I’m going to tell you a few lessons that rang true when I viewed this film, and during my interview with the cast, Paige herself, and director Stephen Merchant.
Let’s get right to it friends, Dumbo is probably THE CUTEST movie that is coming out this year. And for this reason, it’s going to be the hardest for me to watch. I’m all for the live-action movie trend going on but look how freakin’ cute baby Dumbo is. The animated version of this movie is EMOTIONAL. So seeing Dumbo look SOO real, is hard.
